Nancy Fornet, de nacionalidad cubana, estudió Dibujo y Grabado en la Academia Profesional de Artes Roberto Diago Querol, graduándose en 2005. Posteriormente, se especializó en Conservación y Restauración en la Universidad de las Artes (ISA) en La Habana, donde se graduó en 2014. Actualmente, continúa su labor creativa en México, un país que le ha abierto las puertas y que ha insuflado color y dramatismo a sus obras.
Las influencias de su formación se entrelazan en una combinación de habilidades técnicas y teóricas que le ha permitido abordar un viaje artístico marcado por la exploración de la figura humana como eje central y sus múltiples facetas. Fascinada por las hibridaciones, su trabajo refleja una constante búsqueda de elementos visuales que se manifiestan en forma de exploración de la identidad, la transformación y la conexión entre diferentes conceptos humanos, físicos, espirituales.
